Shoeshine Johnny's is Scarlet Thread's most visible and well-known event. It is designed specifically to be a fun, engaging, entertaining, and challenging environment for young people just like you.

Each night is built around a theme that touches on students' lives, and though no two Shoeshine Johnny's are exactly alike, each night typically features live music, comedy, drama, giveaways, various multi-media pieces and a spoken challenge based on the theme. The pieces woven together in such a way to point young people to the awesome, incredible offer of God's amazing love for them. Every SSJ's is new experience!

Along with the great program, our coffeebar serves up great desserts and snacks, along with various specialty coffees, teas, and juices - all at no charge. We ask students for a $3 cover donation to help defray the cost of the night, but NO STUDENT has been, or ever will be turned away because they lack funds.

We love kids and want everyone to have the opportunity to experience SSJ's. Each Shoeshine Johnny's is phographed and videoed, and soon after those images are made available here on our site.
